Landscaping

Coir dust is used by most landscapers as soil improvers. Some people use soil improvers within planting beds in parks and gardens and in the maintenance of playing fields and other recreation facilities such as golf courses.

Soil Improvers

Soil improvers are materials, which are added to soil mainly to improve its physical condition, either by improving soil structure or increasing water holding capacity. In this respect the most important component of compost is its organic matter, which, besides directly improving soil structure, helps to promote soil microbial activity. A nutrient content of compost is a bonus but it need not necessarily be high.
